BOE Continues Two Day In-Person Attendance Model

The Jackson County Board of Education, at a September 22, 2020, Special Session, voted to continue the two (2) day per week attendance model currently in place. After evaluating current COVID-19 trends in the county, the Board determined that returning to a full in-person instructional week was not prudent at this time.

As a result, students with the last names beginning with A-K will continue attending school on Monday and Tuesday and students with the last names beginning with L-Z will attend school on Thursday and Friday. The Board of Education will monitor COVID-19 information in Jackson County and revisit a return to full week instruction in the future.

Student meals will remain available for pick-up at school daily from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.   On Wednesdays, which are fully remote days, meals will also be deliver along the pre-established bus routes utilized in the spring.
