Hey Kenna Families, I can’t believe its winter! Time flies by so fast. The students here at Kenna have made huge amounts of growth already this school year. They have been working hard improving their reading and developing their mathematical minds. They impress me every day! We have placed a big focus this year on kindness. I truly believe that all of our lives can be improved if we focus on being kind to one another. Not only will we feel better about ourselves, but others will be happier around us too! I expect that all students are to be kind in their actions and kind in their words. We are also talking a lot about our dreams this year. In fact, our school theme for the entire year is “Dream Big.” The students at Kenna have big dreams and we plan to spend this year talking about how we can work to make our dreams come true in the future. We will be making dream vision boards and having career focus weeks this school year. Thank you for supporting your child(ren) and encouraging them to be kind and dream big! Sincerely, Mrs. Holley
Parents, this is a reminder that we still have outdoor recess on days where the temperature (or wind chill) is above freezing. Please make sure that your child wears a coat to school and dresses appropriately for the weather. Sweatshirts/jackets should not be counted as a coat.
Parents, don't forget about the early dismissal on Friday, December 20, 2019
